Finite element magnetic modelling in ANSYS Maxwell 3D

Finite Element Modelling

The finite elemet method (FEM) is a general numerical method for solving partial differential equations in two or three space variables that arise in engineering modeling. To solve a problem, the model subdivides a large system into smaller, simpler parts that are called finite elements using a mesh in a process known as discretisation.

Finite Element Analysis

MSL provides finite element (FE) magnetic modelling in ANSYS Maxwell 3D as part of your design review or proof of concept. MSL’s physicists can use existing STEP models or create custom models within the Maxwell environment, and evaluate shielding performance under various parameters such as field strength, direction and frequency.
